He was always running. He loved to run. It was especially fun to run with others. Anyone he chased would run ahead of him, happily challenging him to a race. How kind they all were—and how happy they were to run with him. Until one day, as he engaged in his usual chase, the one he was chasing stopped, turned—and killed him. He didn't know why. He pondered this as his consciousness waned, but still he couldn't understand. He only knew that it made him sad. The Goddess took pity on him, rescued his soul, and sealed him away as a Guardian.
